Athena Quartz T, formerly known as Top Board, offers good tensile and tear strength properties combined with low porosity. It is available with two types of coating to control penetration into the paper and improve smoothness properties for better processing.

This paper grade is similar to the Quartz I grade and is used as an upper protective barrier during the manufacturing of engineered or agglomerated stone.

Not only is this paper grade a more sustainable alternative to rubber, it also offers excellent barrier properties, which can be tailored to control oil penetration according to the customer’s requirements.
